Face lifted Hyundai Sonata Embera in January 2009

After the success of Hyundai i-series cars in India, Hyundai is planning to introduce face-lifted version of Sonata Embera India. It is the D-segment sedan in India and its face-lifted version is expected to hit the India market soon in January 2009. Most of the changes expected in the new version will be major revamping of interiors and some of the cosmetic changes in its exteriors.

Sonata Embera is the fifth generation Sonata that is known of its stylish looks and India-specific suspension system that is well complemented with silent and powerful engine. It has 2.4 litre four cylinder VTVT engine that delivers maximum power of 165 ps at 5800 rpm and maximum torque 23.6 kgm at 4250 rpm.

Hyundai has recently launched its awaited model, Hyundai i20 without much fanfare. The car is a premium 5-door hatch back model priced at Rs. 4.8 lakh and above. Hyundai is India’s largest car exporter and second largest car manufacturer.
