With such a comment coming from one of the top bosses, there is a general feeling that the auto company is planning to march ahead even more aggressively in the current year. Evidently, the company is going to use the Auto Expo 2014 platform to showcase some inspiring models to start the year on a high note. Maruti Suzuki XA Alpha concept car is more likely to be unveiled at the upcoming Auto Expo, followed by a probable launch. Interestingly, the auto company has already showcased this model and there are numerous rumours about it too. XA Alpha has got a muscular stance, one that looks authentic. One of the main highlights of this sports utility vehicle is its distinctive front fascia.

A unique grille with Suzuki logo and perky headlamps make for an appealing appearance. The side and rear profiles also embody a unique stylising. Alloy wheels further accentuate the overall look of this utility vehicle. XA Alpha concept car is being held as a key to foray in the sport utility vehicle segment, which seems really impressive. The only question that must be haunting car enthusiasts is that will the production model look same. Notably, there is another facet to the XA Alpha concept car story. As this vehicle is going to help the company to get a strong foothold in the SUV segment, one can obviously expect it to come with a number of highly sought after features.

It must be noted that Maruti Suzuki is a sensible player and understands every if and buts of the Indian market. One can only hope to see the actual launch of XA Alpha in India in 2014. There is too much of buzz around YL1 too. Even though, there are no official statements, many industry experts see this sedan as a possible replacement for SX4. This sedan is expected to share many features with SX4 and Ertiga. It is likely to get either a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel or 1.4-litre K Series petrol engine under the hood. Some key features that this sedan is expect to get are Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, push button start, puddle lamps and leather seats. Once in the market, this vehicle will compete with Hyundai Verna Fluidic and Volkswagen Vento. The price of this vehicle is expected to be below Rs. 10 lakh.

The upcoming Auto Expo may also see the entry of Swift facelift as a surprise. This premium hatchback has got a tremendous response in the market and its sales are truly inspiring. A refreshed version at the starting of the year is only going to spice up things for Swift in the Indian market. One can expect this car to come with slight cosmetic changes done to its exteriors and interiors. The engine under its hood is expected to be same as the current generation version.

One can also expect the entry of yet another hatchback, codenamed as YL7. This car is believed to be called as Celerio in the country. It may replace the existing A-Star. This hatchback is expected to be based on A-Wind concept, which was first showcased at the Thailand Motor Show. Celerio is likely to flaunt a perky front facade with toned down grille and headlights. This vehicle may get a 67 bhp 1.0-litre K10 petrol engine under its hood.
