Ducati has launched the Monster 797 in India at an introductory price of Rs 7.77 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). This makes the 797 the most affordable Monster motorcycle in India.

The launch of the Monster 797 brings back the 803cc air cooled mill also shared with the Scrambler range. This L-twin engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The power output is rated at 75bhp of maximum power at 8,250rpm and 68.9Nm of peak torque.
The Monster 797 was exhibited at the World Ducati Week and EICMA 2016. Though the motorcycle is the newest, it is presently also the smallest member of the Monster tribe. It is slotted below the 821 and with a price of Rs 7.77 lakh, it's almost Rs 3 lakh cheaper than the bigger sibling.
The Ducati Monster 797 will be sold in India as a CBU through the Thailand route. It is offered in three body colours - red, star white silk and dark stealth. The motorcycle now competes with the likes of the Triumph Street Triple 765 in our country.
