      DSK-Benelli Launching 5 Motorcycles in India on March 19, 2015

      DSK-Benelli has officially announced the launch of its new range of motorcycles in the Indian two-wheeler market on March 19, 2015. Moreover, the company has also announced that the bookings for the bikes will commence from March 10, 2015. Customers can book their motorcycles through DSK-Benelli stores in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune.

      The company will launch five new models including the TNT 300, TNT 600 GT, TNT 600i, TNT 899 and the TNT 1130. The entry-level variants, 300cc to 600 cc capacity bikes, would come as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) units. Whereas, the premium bikes, ranging from 899cc and 1,130cc, would be directly imported from Italy. It will be assembled at the company's new production plant in Wai near Pune.

      The entry-level TNT 300 is powered by a 300cc, liquid cooled 4-stroke 4-valve DOHC inline engine that produces 37bhp at 11,500rpm and 27Nm of torque at 9000rpm. Power is transferred to roads via a six-speed gearbox. The TNT 600i and TNT 600 GT are propelled by 600cc engine that is good for 82bhp and 52Nm and 55Nm of torque, respectively. The TNT 899 is powered by a 899cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 121bhp of power and 88Nm of torque.

      The flagship motorcycle - the Benelli TNT 1130R is powered by a 1131cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke 4-valve DOHC inline 3 with balancer shaft. This engine is capable of producing 158bhp of power at 10,200rpm and a peak torque of 120Nm at 8400rpm.
