Touted by many as 'Film of the Year 2013', Dhoom 3 has finally hit theatres and many across the country have booked their tickets to watch this action extravaganza over the weekend. Social networking websites have been buzzing with audience reactions and reviews of critics. Bollywood legend and actor Amitabh Bachchan posted his comments on micro-blogging site Twitter. "It is SPELLBINDING !! Yes .. just out of DHOOM 3 !! Still searching for the right words to describe it," he wrote. Appreciating the direction of fellow director Vijay Krishna Acharya, Kabir Khan, maker of blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, wrote, "#Dhoom3 lives up to all the hype & more... Go Victor Go." The coming together of three big Indian brands, Yash Raj Films, Aamir Khan and Dhoom franchise, seems to have worked and the initial responses from critics regarding this high-octane drama have been generally positive.

Mohar Basu, a critic from Koimoi.com, wrote, "Dhoom 3 was spectacular and majestic. Keeping a strong hold on the emotional prowess of its plot, the film sews in the slick action so awe strikingly. Don't go in expecting an Aamir Khan film because it isn't without flaws. But it gets right everything that is must for a commercial film, especially its ability to grasp on to the interest of audiences. Even cool thieves are vulnerable people and to be able to get that correct is what makes Dhoom 3 a winner."

This film stars Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra in lead roles. Khan, the anti-hero, essays the role of Sahir, which the actor has performed admirably. Bachchan and Chopra, like the previous two editions of this franchise, play the characters of Jai Dixit and Ali, respectively, who are cops trying to catch Sahir. The plot of this movie, unlike other Dhoom films, has a deep emotional concept as the actions of the anti-hero (Aamir Khan), are motivated by happenings in the past. The main character in this film plots and plans against a famous American bank to take revenge as it initially forces Sahir's father (played by Jackie Shroff) to commit suicide. Katrina Kaif is looking fantastic in the film but has limited involvement in the story.

The USP of Dhoom 3 is its screenplay, which is a visual treat full of stunts and thrilling sequences. Bikes shown in the film, BMW K 1300 R and S 1000 RR, are superb and will surely impress everyone. Action sequences of this film, as expected, have been directed well by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who has done a reasonable job to replace Sanjay Gadhvi. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra continue to perform in the same manner as previous two instalments of the Dhoom franchise. However, in typical fashion, this movie is an Aamir Khan-show all the way. The hard work put in by the actor is quite evident from the escapades that are shown on the screen.

As far as box office collections are concerned, there is no doubt that Dhoom 3 is going to be a blockbuster. In fact, reports and sources claim that this film is on its way to shatter records of films like Krrish 3 and Chennai Express. Also, since Christmas and New Year are around the corner, this Yash Raj Films production will continue to pull audiences to theatres.
