      Details leaked for 2018 Mahindra XUV500

      The Mahindra XUV500 has been around for a while in India and has been due for a facelift. This time around, the 2018 XUV500 facelift was recently spotted undisguised and reveals a few details on what to expect from the upcoming model. The new model will receive minor mechanical upgrades that will return slightly better power output figures along with new cosmetic and feature upgrades.

      Based on what can be seen, the new XUV500 gets a six-slot radiator grille and redesigned headlamps with a horizontal LED DRL strip. The side resembles the current generation model, however it is likely to get 18-inch alloy wheels. As for the rear, the new XUV500 facelift gets a triangular tail lamp, redesigned tailgate with new garnish and a new roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp.

      As for the interior, the vehicle will get new leather upholstery and new soft-touch plastic. The new model will also get an upgraded infotainment system with more features. Under the hood, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine will be tweaked to generate power output figures closer to 148bhp. The new model is expected to be launched sometime early in the third quarter of this year and will be priced slightly higher than the current model.
