      There is news that BMW has started delivery of latest i3 Electric Cars. Earlier, in order to cater to expectations of customers, the auto company had announced sustainable production. BMW production Chief Kruger had reportedly said in an official statement, “Today represents a milestone in our company’s development. We are making history with the BMW i3. Not only is our first electric car about to hit the road, we are also completely redefining sustainability with regard to personal mobility thanks to ground breaking technologies and processes. We require 50 per cent less energy and 70 per cent less water, and source the electric energy for production of the BMW i models CO2-free from the wind turbines at the plant.”

      Incidentally, the auto company also made a promise to begin the delivery of BMW i3 to customers living in Germany and other European countries in November 2013. The German firm also promised that the this new upcoming car will be launched in USA, China and other markets as early as first quarter of 2014, sources have claimed. Evidently, with outpouring news about the commencement of deliveries of BMW i3 Electric Cars, the auto company has indeed kept its word and promise well served.

      The first delivery of BMW i3 electric cars has been made to some German customers. As per reports, Robertson, BMW Board Member ecstatically commented, “Today marks a milestone in the history of the BMW Group, as we hand over our first BMW i premium electric vehicle to customers. In doing so, we are bringing sustainable mobility to the roads.” Evidently, BMW is known for manufacturing benchmark setting products and one can notice the same penchant while announcing the delivery of i3 electric cars to customers across the world. Furthermore, this huge initiative taken by BMW is likely to open gates for a new segment competition, only difference being that this time it is electric.

      Experts feel that customers will be totally enthralled while driving BMW i3 electric car. Irrespective of the fact that this car does not use petrol or diesel as fuel, this vehicle is able to deliver high performance with excellent acceleration and pick-up. This electric car boasts of well-designed exteriors and interiors to make for an enticing appearance. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery. On a full battery charge, this electric vehicle can easily cover around 145 km.

      Moreover, even though the vehicle is powered by electricity, by no means vehicle-acceleration has been compromised by the auto maker. As such, the i3 can touch 100 kmph mark in just 7.2 seconds and attain a respectable speed of up to 150 kmph. The main highlight of this electric marvel is its Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) passenger cell for enhanced passenger safety while driving. Furthermore, this vehicle make use of advanced BMW EfficientDynamics technology along with intelligent BMW ConnectDrive Services. The BMW i3 is yet to be launched in the Indian automobile market.
