      Delhi Auto Expo 2012 witness the showcase of Tata Motors' 3 new vehicles

      At the opening day of Delhi Auto Expo, Tata Motors unveiled its new models, namely, the Tata Safari Storme (the new generation Safari SUV), Tata LPT 3723 (country’s first 5-axle rigid truck) and Tata Ultra (company’s new LCV and ICV range). The official launch of these new vehicles is slated for the next financial year.

      Tata Motors has also displayed the Tata Indigo Manza diesel-electric hybrid car, Tata Magic Iris CNG, Tata Nano CNG and Tata Starbus Fuel Cell (hydrogen). These car models are based on alternate fuel technology capability. The company is already offering a range of full electric automobiles, namely CNG-electric hybrid buses and Tata Indica Vista Electric Vehicle.

      PM Telang, Managing Director, India Operations, was present at the occasion. He said that “With the Safari Storme, the iconic Safari becomes a contemporary SUV suited to the desires of today’s SUV lovers. The Ultra range and the LPT 3723 will create new segments and generate higher incomes for their owners. As importantly, we are displaying our progress with alternate fuel technologies towards a more comprehensive portfolio for the future.”

      Tata Starbus Fuel CellConcept

      Tata Motors has developed this model in collaboration with the Government of India’s Development of Scientific and Industrial Research under the Technology Development & Demonstration Programme. The model:involves a fuel cell with gross peak power of 114 hp

      • a motor with the peak power output of 250 hp
      • motor speed from 600 rpm to 2100 rpm and torque of 1050 Nm at 800 rpm
      • Maximum speed - 70 kmph
      • Gradeability - 17%

      Tata Paradiso G7 Multi-axle Coach

      The model has been developed by Tata Motors and Tata Marcopolo Motors Limited and is highly inspired by LPO2138 rear engine. The body design of this model has been executed on the principles of Marcopolo and will take the country’s luxury inter-city travel division to an all-new level. This model is equipped with features like:

      Apart from the these  models, Tata Motors would showcase passenger vehicles, namely, Tata Aria, Tata Nano concept, Tata Indica Vista Concept S2, Tata Manza Nova concept and Tata Pixel concept. Commercial vehicles will include the Tata Ace Refresh, Tata Prima 7548.S-Concept, Tata Super Ace (Left Hand Drive), Tata Prima 3138.K AT and Tata Venture Ambulance.
