The Cross is based on the Go+ and features the same overall design, but because it’s a crossover, you get the beefy body kit, chunky wheels and slightly aggressive face thanks to the projector lamps and fog lamps that sit like nostrils on the face. There is a spoiler at the rear (With an LED stop lamp), roof rails and mirror mounted indicators.

Like the GO+, the cross also get three rows of seating and a grey and black interior trim. It has a 1.2-litre three-cylinder motor under the hood producing 68bhp/104Nm with the five-speed manual and 78bhp/104Nm when coupled with a new CVT which is on offer for the first time.

It is expected to go on sale in Indonesia shortly and is likely to be offered in multiple variants. The Cross was showcased as the Go-Cross at the 2016 Auto Expo. Now here is the thing - the Cross in this high spec trim moves well into the territory occupied by the cars in the Nissan line-up in India. It is likely that we will get the car in at least one or two lower spec trims to match Datsun’s position in the market.
