Datsun has launched anniversary editions of the Go hatchback and the Go+ MPV to celebrate the three years of the brands presence in India. The Anniversary edition Datsuns get body graphics decals, an anniversary badge and a few additions to the equipment list.

The Datsun Go was the first product to be launched in India for Nissan’s subsidiary brand and offered Indian buyers a bigger car for the price of a sub-compact hatchback like the Maruti Alto or the Hyundai Eon. Based on the Datsun Go platform, the seven-seater Go+ was launched in 2015 as the MPV to be offered to the Indian buyer.

The blue-grey braided stripe runs though the length of the car starting from the bonnet and extending over the roof. A similar stripe runs from the lower corner of the front door to window on the rear door to add sportiness to the design. While the Go+ gets a black spoiler, the Go gets a body coloured spoiler.

The special editions are based on the top-spec T trim that gets front power windows, power steering and an in-built music system with auxiliary input along with manual air-conditioning. The audio system now gets Bluetooth connectivity and the car gets remote-operated central locking along with rear parking sensors. The interior has undergone an overhaul with the vivid blue inserts in the black upholstery along with highlights around the instrument console, centre console and the gear lever. It also gets those in-your-eye blue highlighted floor mats along with ambient lighting – a first in that segment.

Both the Datsun Go and the Go+ are powered by a 1.2-litre four cylinder petrol engine that develops 67bhp of power and 104Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The anniversary edition of the Go hatchback is priced at Rs 4.19 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi while the Go+ anniversary edition costs Rs 4.9 lakh.
