      Datsun Go+ MPV launching on January 15, 2015

      Nissan India will launch the second Datsun product - the Go+ MPV on January 15, 2015 in the country. The company has already revealed important details about the car on its official website. It is expected to be launched with an aggressive pricing tag, and will create new sub-compact MPV segment.

      Sharing its engine lineup with the Go hatchback, the Datsun Go+ MPV is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 67bhp at 5,000rpm and a peak torque of 104Nm at 4,000rpm. Power is transmitted to front wheels of the MPV via a five-speed manual transmission gearbox. This engine is claimed to return an impressive mileage of 20.62kmpl.

      This sub-4 metre MPV measures 3,995mm in length, 1,635mm in width, and 1,490mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,450mm. It comes with a ground clearance of 170mm, which is pretty decent considering the Indian city roads. The Go+ MPV comes with a decent boot space of 48-litres which can be extended up to 347-litres by folding rear seats. Its wheel arches have been fitted to 13-inch wheels shod with 155/70R13 tyres. The suspension system comprises of McPherson Struts at front and Torsion Beam at rear. The front wheels are fitted with Ventilated Disc brakes while the rear wheels gets drum type brakes. The Go+ MPV will be offered in four variants- D, D1, A and T. It is equipped with features like power steering, air conditioning, mobile docking system, front power windows, etc.
