Japanese carmaker Nissan has officially started taking bookings for the Datsun Go hatchback in India. One can now book the Datsun Go by paying Rs. 11,000, though the deliveries will commence by the end of March 2014. The company has already started the production of the Go hatch at Nissan-Renault Alliance manufacturing unit in Chennai.
Datsun Go is based on the old Micra platform. It measures 3785mm in length, 1635mm in width and 1485mm in height. With a wheelbase of 2450mm, the hatchback offers an impressive space inside the cabin. In order to offer more space to front passenger, the company has mounted the gearbox on the dashboard. It also comes equipped with a docking station to connect with smartphones.
Datsun Go is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 74bhp and 104Nm of top torque. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. It returns an impressive 20.6kmpl of mileage. Moreover, the company is also offering a comprehensive two-year/unlimited km warranty with Go hatchback.
