      Datsun Go Plus CVT

The Datsun Go and Go+ CVT have been launched in India at introductory price of Rs 5.94 lakhs and Rs 6.58 lakhs (All-India Ex-showroom) respectively. They are available across two variants- T and T (O) for both the cars. We have already driven both the Go and Go+ CVT and you can read about them here.

The Go and Go+ CVT are powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine producing 75bhp/104Nm. This update for the Go twins also sees them get a 9bhp hike power as compared to the model that we drove in October 2018. The standard transmission is a five-speed manual while the CVT is a first in the segment and comes with a low mode as well as a sport mode.

The top-of-the-line T (O) variant gets a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, LED DRLs and 14-inch alloy wheels. The slightly lower spec T variant is the same sans the DRLs and alloy wheels. All versions of the Go and Go+ get dual front airbags, pedestrian impact protection, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder and central locking.
The Go CVT competes against automatic versions of the Tata Tiago, Hyundai Santro and the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. The Datsun GO+ CVT takes on the Renault Triber as well mid-spec versions of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Tigor and the Hyundai Grand i10.
