To make its first festive season special for customers in India, Renault’s low cost brand Datsun has doled out lucrative offers and schemes. Datsun currently offers just one vehicle in India, that is Datsun GO hatchback, under this scheme the customers can avail total benefits of Rs 38,000 that includes an exchange benefit of Rs 20,000. Other segregate options such as insurance support of Rs 4000, free extended warranty of Rs 4000 and cash discount of Rs 10,000 on D, D1 and A trim levels of GO hatchback sum up the bouquet of offers. This lucrative scheme is valid for the entire month of September and October. Festive season is considered to be an auspicious time to buy vehicles and hence sales during this time surge due to positive customer sentiment. Datsun GO is only a few months old in A segment, the vehicle started off well in domestic market, hopefully the vehicle will witness further increase in demand during the upcoming festive season.
Touted as a spacious offering in entry level hatchback segment, Datsun GO is powered by a 1200 cc engine and is claimed to offer an excellent fuel economy. In its segment the hatchback rivals the likes of Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon and Chevrolet Spark. However, the vehicle yet has not been able to outnumber its competition in terms of monthly sales. But it is too early to comment on the fate of the vehicle in India, with the company strengthening its dealership network in the country the hatchback may get benefited and emerge a strong contender in A segment.
