The smart styled design given to Datsun's RediGo caught fancy for many carbuyers in the country. However, the wait for the much anticipated vehicle could be a little longer than expected first quarter of 2016. As stated by sources, the company may introduce the GO-CROSS first and then offer the RediGo sometime later.
The Datsun RediGo shall be powered by 1.0-litre petrol engine and is believed to compete against the recently launched Renault Kwid. One of the reason for delaying the launch as stated by sources has been the lack in features as compared to Renault Kwid, and the company would be utilizing this extra time to add more features. It is anticipated that the company may offer features like electrically folding ORVMs, airbags, touch-screen infotainment system, ABS and in-dash music system.
Apart from a futuristic design the Datsun RediGo gets an impressive ground clearance of about 180mm. Detailed information may be known sometime early next year once the vehicle comes out on road-tests. It could likely be priced around Rs 4 - 5 lakh.
