The dates for Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2016, India’s number one automobile exhibition, have been released and it is set to take place in the month of February next year. Scheduled to be held from 5th February to 9th February, 2016, this motor show will be organised at the India Expo Mart & Centre, which is located in Greater Noida – a part of the National Capital Region (NCR). This show is organised every two years and it invites car makers from all over the world to come and showcase their new models and concept cars. Along with the 2016 Auto Expo – the Component Show will also be held, from 4th February to 7th February. This show will be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) are the co-organisers of this event, which attract thousands of visitors every two years. In fact some of the biggest models, concept cars and sports vehicles are showcased at this event.
The 2014 edition of Auto Expo was a huge success and the organisers expect the 2016 edition to be an equally big success. Sources claim that this edition could be better than the 2014 edition, considering the dynamic change that has taken place in the Indian automobile market in the last two years. Just to put some numbers into perspective, around 26 global and 44 India launches took place at the 2014 edition while in excess of 300 cars and commercial vehicles were introduced at the event. Also, more than one lakh visitors came to Auto Expo in 2014 and that number is expected to be crossed in the 2016 edition.
