India has been known as the land of culture and spirituality. Beginning a new venture or investing in something new is taken forth on an auspicious event. New car buyers in the country mostly accept the deliveries of their new vehicles during Holy days of Navratri. The sales are especially the highest on Dussehra as most of the customers insist on driving home a new car on this auspicious day. In fact this year, dealers reported a higher sales number in comparison to previous year. Sales during Shraddh period are usually the lowest owing to religious beliefs.

A car dealer in the country named Suket Jain said, “We delivered over 800 cars in the last two days as compared to 650 cars last year on Dussehra. There has been a 20 per cent increase in sales as compared to last year.” Adding further, Shwetal Patel another car dealer said, “The bookings began post Ganesh festival and continue till the beginning of Navratri. People prefer to book their cars during the 'Shraddh' period and schedule their delivery for Dussehra. We delivered close to 198 cars during Navratri out of which 126 were delivered on Friday.”

Sales numbers from the compact segment have been more impressive as compared to the premium segment. The sales economy brand has always been impressive, but with the start of festive season in the country, the sales from Premium segment is also likely to be good.
