Rumours indicate that Renault is going to unveil the new Dacia Duster in an event in Paris on 22 June. This second generation model was earlier expected to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, later this year, though it now seems like the crossover will be unveiled sooner than expected.
The Dacia Duster is the host model of the car sold as the Renault Duster in the Indian market. The Duster has been spotted undergoing trials in Europe before. The overall profile of the Duster remains the same, it continues with the distinctive grille, roof rails and the overall profile. The wheels however, feature a new design while the headlamps seem rectangular-ish, similar to the Nissan Terrano. We can expect it to get a few creature comforts like a new touchscreen infotainment system. There have been rumours about a new third row seat to make it a seven-seater, though the company hasn’t confirmed this yet.
The Duster will be introduced as a 2018 model, and will also spawn a new Nissan Terrano. With the current Duster being a seven year old model, we can expect the new generation Duster to go on sale in the second half of this year. In India, we can expect it to be introduced in early 2018.
