Mercedes has teased a brand new concept Maybach coupe to debut at the Concours d’Elegance, Pebble Beach. With the description of the silhouette reading ‘the hot and cool – almost 6 metres of ultimate luxury’, it might turn out to be the longest coupe built, if it goes into production.
The massive hood, the teardrop cabin and the sweeping coupe lines are composed like a melody. It reminds us of the decade old Exelero concept and looking at the length of this car, it might have four seats. The two-door coupe might be based on the extended S-Class chassis and is said to be wider than the S-Class coupe. While there are no details available, we hope it gets a massive custom V12 like the one in the Exelero.
It seems that Mercedes is reviving the Maybach brand, not limiting it to the extended or the fully loaded versions of the S-Class. For what might turn out to be a befitting revival of Maybach, Mercedes may position the 6 Coupe to compete with the Rolls-Royce Wraith.
