Amidst all the extravaganza of new car and bike launches, the event will lack the punch without concept cars being displayed. Sources have stated that, as many as 75 passenger cars, utility vehicles, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles are scheduled for showcase next month. This numbers have taken a considerable jump from the 47 vehicles that were showcased and launched during the 2013 Auto Expo event. This year’s event is also coined as the biggest auto fest to be held in any subcontinent. Detailed specifications for a concept car is generally not made public until its official showcase during the event, this is generally done to maintain its Awe-factor.
Datsun brand is all geared-up for India release under Nissan bandwagon. The carmaker has planned an official launch for its GO and GO+ model during the upcoming Auto Expo event. It is said that, this is the first time in decades-long history of Datsun, that it has paved way to participate in an Indian motor show. The world premiere of Datsun’s first new concept car since its return, is anticipated to be held during so-called, ‘press-days’ at the Datsun stand. An official statement describing the new concept said, “Created to appeal to the new generation of young and optimistic people, “risers”, the new concept is distinctive and stylish, and a step forward in terms of product allure in the segment. At the same time it offers all the features required by the aspirational Datsun customers.”
Next in line is Friend-Me concept by Nissan. As per reports, it is stated that the car belongs to the sports car segment and is based on new design dynamic. The Friend-Me is a hard-to-categorize sedan hatchback cross that carries ample flowing visual profile. It is also said that, the car has been tailor-made to suit individual tastes. The Car is said to carry sporty and dynamic new design that is loaded with features. The cabin is expected to embed with Nissan's latest vision of in-car technology and entertainment.
The upcoming 2014 Auto Expo event promises to be one event that shall be remembered by the attendees for many years to come.
