Citroen has announced the arrival of its new SUV in the Indian market. The French carmaker was caught testing a C3-based SUV numerous times on Indian roads in recent months. Now, amidst all the rumours, the global unveiling of the new SUV has been officially confirmed for 27 April.

By examining the spy pictures, we know that the Citroen mid-size SUV will feature a split headlamp setup with LED DRLs, asignature two-slat chrome grille a wide air dam, blacked-out alloy wheels, and an upright tailgate with LED tail lamp cluster.

For the powertrain, the new Citroen SUV could make use of the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that is seen in the C3 hatchback. Upon arrival, the Citroen SUV will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and others in the segment.

Currently, the French automaker’s Indian portfolio has three vehicles, including C3, eC3, and C5 Aircross. As for the pricing, the mid-size SUV is expected to be priced between Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
