Speculated to be called the DS 7 Cross, the SUV is speculated to make its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The test mule is highly camouflaged giving away very little on how the new SUV would look like. The mid-size SUV from the French carmaker is guessed to take its cues from Citroen Wild Rubis concept car showcased at Shanghai Auto Show back in 2013. The DS 7 SUV will showcase the new design language for the brand, which will be followed on future vehicles. It would share its underpinning and many other components with the Peugeot 3008. The platform is called EMP2 and will also form a base to the upcoming Opel Grandland X.

As for the powertrains, the DS 7 will have PSA’s engine options. The 125bhp, 1.2-litre petrol unit will be offered along with a 1.6-litre gasoline engine which produces 160bhp. The diesel engine option includes a 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre units belting out 100bhp and 145bhp respectively. Also on the cards is a performance variant with a turbocharged engine producing 240bhp; along with a plug-in hybrid (from the 3008) later down the line.
