General Motors India, a unit of the US based leading car maker, is all set to launch new BS-IV compatible version of its popular Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) – Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 – in the Indian market. The all new Tavera Neo 3 BS-IV will be rolled-out in the country today on 21st March 2012.
The new generation Tavera Neo 3 BS-IV was showcased at the January’s Delhi International auto expo, where the company had received a number of enquiries for this MUV. The company has already launched the BS-III version of the car in the Indian market in February 2012 with a price tag of Rs 6.72 lakh.
The new Tavera Neo 3 will come powered by a ICML sourced 2.0L TCDi diesel engine incorporated with air induction system and turbocharger with intercooler. The powerful engine of the car is capable of delivering a peak power of 106.8 PS at 4000 rpm along with a peak torque of 263.7 Nm at 1750-2500 rpm. The MUV is claimed to be delivering a considerably high fuel economy of 12.26 km per liter.
The major upgrades in the new Tavera model include dual tone exterior with advanced body graphics, multi spoke 15-inch alloy wheels, 1Din music system, 3-spoke stylish steering wheel, ‘Ice Blue’ illumination, etc.
