General Motors’ upcoming Chevrolet Spin MPV that was snapped a few days back, has now been spied testing in Delhi. To be positioned above the Enjoy, the Chevrolet Spin will rival Maruti Suzuki Ertigal, Renault Lodgy and Honda Mobilio. This seven-seater MPV is expected to be launched in India sometime in 2016. For the Indian market, the Chevrolet Spin will be made available in two engine options – a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel – that will deliver maximum power output of 107bhp with 148Nm and 89bhp with 200Nm respectively. Transmission options on offer will be five-speed manual (standard) and a six-speed automatic (only on petrol models).

The MPV measures 4,360mm in length, 1,735mm in width and 1,683mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,525mm. This makes it slightly smaller than Honda Mobilio, and larger than the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. On the exterior, the car gets sweptback headlamps, dual honeycomb grille, body-colored bumpers and ORVMs, round fog lamps, pronounced wheel arches, roof rails, large tailgate and diamond-shaped taillights.

With dual-tone beige and brown interior, the Spin looks quite spacious and sporty from inside. Features like dual-tone grey surrounds on the dashboard and centre console, silver chrome finish on control buttons and larger instrument cluster add more to its appeal. It will also come equipped with a multi-function steering wheel with mounted audio controls, audio system with USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth telephony, digital speedometer and several other comfort and connectivity features.
