Indian arm of American auto giant, General Motors has launched the mildly upgraded Sail sedan and Sail U-VA facelifts in India. The Sail sedan facelift is available at a starting price of Rs 5.19 lakh, on the other hand Sail U-VA is price starts at Rs 4.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Subtle cosmetic tweaks have been given to Sail twins on the exterior and interior front. On the outside Chevrolet has redesigned the headlamp and tail-light assemblies a tad, chrome treatment is more prominent now on the exteriors.
Changes made to the cabin include new two-tone colour schemed dashboard featuring black and beige colours and a new steering wheel coloured in black. Chrome treatment can also be seen inside the cabin around the AC vents and gear-knob. A new 2-DIN audio system has also been incorporated inside the cabin. Safety features such as Anti-Lock-Braking system with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and airbags are also available on select variants.
Power comes from the same engines, a 1.2 litre petrol engine is housed in the petrol range. The 1.2 litre engine is capable of developing a top power output of 82.5 Bhp and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Diesel variants are employed with a 1.3 litre Fiat sourced diesel powertrain and is matched to the conventional five-speed manual transmission.
