Chevrolet Trax, the all new compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) was recently revealed by the company by releasing its first official images. The new Trax SUV will now be showcased at the forth coming Paris Motor Show. Based on the platform of Opel Mokka, the new compact SUV will be taking on with the new generation SUVs like Ford EcoSport in the global market.
As per the Industry sources, the new Chevrolet Trax SUV will be a badge engineered version of the Opel Mokka, to which company aims to introduce in the European market by the end of this year. Carrying a length of 4.2 meters, the Mokka SUV is available in both petrol and diesel versions. While the petrol version is powered by 1.4-litre petrol power train, the diesel version is loaded with a 1.7-litre diesel engine. The SUV will be offered in both six speed manual and automatic transmission versions.
The major attractions of the Opel Mokka SUV in terms of features include a Start/Stop system (in manual transmission only), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control (TC), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Hill Descent Control (HDC) systems.The feature list of the Trax SUV is expected to remain more or less same as of the Mokka.
