General Motors India, a fully-owned subsidiary of global brand General Motors, displayed the Chevrolet Enjoy at the 2012 Delhi auto expo for the first time. The good looking Enjoy -a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) is expected to be launched any time in the Indian market. To promote this vehicle, Chevrolet India has launched an online campaign titled 'Enjoy Voyage', which allows people to participate and win a new Enjoy MPV. This will be the company's first MPV in India, designed to compete strongly against the market leader Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in this segment.

The campaign seems to be similar to the Ford EcoSport Urban Discoveries program that was also launched on social media. Through this campaign, a number of participants would be chosen and allowed to form teams, in order to drive this vehicle around the country. Finally, they would get a chance to win the same at the end of the event.

It has been observed that the Enjoy is more spacious than the Ertiga. Two engine options for this MPV would be available- a 1.4-litre petrol mill and a 1.3 Multijet diesel engine from Fiat. While the petrol variant would generate 93 bhp of power along with 127 Nm of torque, the diesel powertrain would produce 88 bhp of power and 200 Nm torque. Both petrol and diesel versions have been fitted with 5-speed manual transmission gearboxes. In terms of price, the Enjoy is anticipated to begin at a price of Rs. 6.50 lakh and go up to Rs. 7.90 lakh.

Interestingly, one feature that would make the Enjoy differ from the Ertiga is the presence of air conditioning vents even for the third row of occupants. Even though the overall length of this vehicle is smaller than Ertiga, it is expected to have better comfort for passengers in the third row. It would be interesting to see how this new MPV fares against tough rivals in the Indian market. However, experts feel that this MPV has great potential to outshine its competitors.
