      BMW, the well appreciated German sports and luxury car maker, is working on the media build up of a facelifted model of its flagship mid-size luxury crossover X6 in the country, which is to be launched on November 22, 2012. The company markets the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAV), since the vehicle features cutting-edge amalgamation of attributes of a stylish Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) along with stance and interior touch of a luxury coupe.

      At present, X6 is the most expensive Utility Vehicle (UV) in BMW's Indian fleet and is offered to domestic car enthusiasts within a price bracket close to Rs. 70 lacs and Rs. 1.5 crore. The competition of BMW luxury crossover includes the likes of Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and Mercedes Benz GL Class in the country's premium imported car market. The BMW X6 is retailed in India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route and is a regular feature in garages of several Indian celebrities.

      The yet-to-be launched facelifted 2013 BMW X6 is expected to incorporate several new enticing modifications both inside and outside the cabin, along with reworked front fascia. Pegged by industry experts as the world’s first ever SAC, X6 possesses a unique character set comprising unmatched versatility, luxury quotient and sporty dynamics.

      The revamped 2013 BMW X6 is anticipated to carry completely redesigned headlamps, tail lamps, more pronounced kidney grille along with angled bars in the lower section. The grapevine is buzzing with rumours and speculations that the upcoming new model of X6 might also draw in adaptive LED headlamps and the much fawned upon M Performance Package. With BMW's M Performance package, the 2013 X6 will come trimmed with black chrome exhaust tips, 20 inch light alloy wheels, stainless steel pedals, M footrest and door sills, anthracite head liner, shadowline exterior trim and an optional Carbon Black metallic paint.

      Coming to under-the-hood specifications, the refurbished 2013 BMW X6 xDrive30d is anticipated to hold same 3.0 litre, 2993 cc, 6 cylinder, V power-mill with four valved technology. The engine assembly comes mated to an eight speed automatic transmission system and the powertrain boasts of an impressive power – torque equation around 240 bhp and 500 Nm, respectively.

      The reworked BMW X6 remains an enamouring premium crossover for the well established and high heeled car enthusiasts of the country.
