      Carnation Auto on an expansion spree, plans a leap to 200 showrooms in 2 years

      Carnation Auto, an Indian multi-brand auto solutions company dedicated for providing an extensive range of car care and maintenance services in the after sales market in India is spearheading to mark its fierce expansion to 200 touch-points leaping from the present 41 touch-points in the coming two years.

      The company has confirmed to depend higher on the conventional franchisee route. Carnation Auto’s franchisee network currently comprises of 42 outlets including 24 maintenance hubs and 18 pre-owned outlets in Indian auto market, latest showroom being opened in Thane.

      Mr. Jagdish Khattar, Chairman and MD, Carnation Auto, was quoted as saying, "We should increase our network to 200 in the next two years which will include both owned and franchisees." Mr. Khattar, the man behind Carnation Auto had been associated with Maruti Suzuki for 14 years before cementing this independent car retail brand in India.

      Mr. Khattar has affirmed that the company had infused some couple of hundred crores in order to build physical facilities or locating and serving customers and now onwards will be focusing more on expansion of its franchisee network.

      In the Indian car market, at present 30 lakh used cars are sold every year with 200 to 220 used cars sold per month by Carnation Auto. Mr. Khattar anticipates that the rate at which the sales is pacing in India, the used car market will score a growth by 20 percent annually, taking the sales quantum to 76 lakh cars by the end of FY 2014-15.
