      Car makers offer lucrative deals and heavy discounts

      A host of reasons has lead to an interesting development in the Indian car market, wherein the auto makers are offering customers with lucrative deals by providing them cars at discounted rates. Crawling sales and a host of new launches can be cited as the main causes that have lead to companies giving customers to get a new car at discounted rates.

      The dealerships of German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz, after the launch of the facelifted E-Class, have made an attempt to clear out the old stock of the previous variant. Customers can get a discount of up to Rs. 7 lakh on the E-Class, along with the larger V6 versions of diesel and petrol models, which is not available in the latest version.

      In one of the most lucrative offers in the market, the Trendline and Highline versions of the Volkswagen Polo (diesel and petrol) are available with free insurance. An exchange bonus of Rs.10000 along with cash benefits worth Rs. 10000 can be availed on the petrol variants. The Trendline and Comfortline come with cash discounts of Rs. 15000 and Rs. 7500, respectively. Notably, the Passat Trendline (2012 models) are being sold at an hefty discount of up to Rs. 2.5 lakh. Buyers can also get free insurance of up to Rs. 40000 and added cash discounts of up to Rs. 10000, depending on the variant.

      Chevrolet, in its quest of increasing sales during tough market conditions, is offering all versions of the Beat with free insurance that saves up to Rs. 15000. Adding a sweetener to the deal, the company will provide a loyalty bonus to customers who own a Chevrolet car and are looking to purchase the Beat. The Chevrolet Cruze is being sold at a discount of Rs. 60000 on price, which can be further increased by Rs. 10000 if the buyer is working in a listed corporate company.

      There are a few other car companies that are also offering vehicles at discounted rates, such as Mitsubishi, Toyota, Skoda and BMW. Buyers can save up to Rs. 60,000 on the purchase of the Mitsubishi Pajero as it comes with free insurance. A cash benefit of 71000 along with a corporate discount of up to Rs. 17500 is being offered by Skoda dealers on the Yeti. According to a few reports, the BMW 3 Series is on sale with a discount range of Rs. 2 lakh – Rs. 4 lakh. Apart from the 3-series, the 5 series can also be purchased at a discounts ranging from Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh.
