Skoda has showcased a camouflaged version of its soon-to-be-unveiled Kodiaq SUV at an event held to celebrate 25 years of cooperation with parent company Volkswagen. Currently dubbed the A-Plus, it had the camouflage on the front and rear but was undisguised on the sides revealing the final design.

Firstly, despite the camouflage we can see the moustache grille and thick bumper and headlight design similar to the one we have seen on the Superb. Given that it too will make use of the MQB platform, we expect that much of the underpinnings and proportions will be shared with the VW Tiguan. We can see that the roofline tapers at the rear while the wheels get a more conventional design as compared to the Vision S concept car.

The Vision S concept SUV was showcased at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show to preview the Czech automaker’s future line of SUVs. The production version is expected to be offered with the same engine lineup as the Superb sedan. The plugin hybrid setup, showcased with a concept car, will arrive at a later date.

The car is expected to be launched for the European and Chinese markets by the end of the year and is expected to be priced marginally higher than the Superb. We will get this vehicle in India in 2017 and it is expected to play a major role in terms of volumes in their D+ segment offerings.
