Nicolas Cage’s latest Hollywood flick Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is doing well on the box office. Released globally on 17th February, 2012, the Hollywood supernatural action-thriller has earned $ 22 million over the weekend.

In the second Ghost Rider movie, Cage again plays the character Johnny Blaze, a stunt motorcyclist who has been bestowed with supernatural powers by the devil Mephisto. This movie is the sequel to the 2007 film of the franchise, Ghost Rider, which was based on the eponymous character from Marvel Comics.

Cage once again rides his flaming motorcycle, named the Hell Cycle in the series, when Blaze turns into the Ghost Rider. Motorcycle maker Buell made use of solid tyres in the first film to make sure that the bike looks authentic to fans of the comic book, thereby ensuring that the look of the Hell Cycle would appease all viewers. The motorcycle Cage rides in the film Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance was displayed at the San Diego Comic Con, which attracted several enthusiasts of the franchise.

The film will attract the admirers of Nicolas Cage as well as the Ghost Rider comics that have been published since 1970s and enjoyed immense demand among comic book readers. This movie has been made in 3D format to attract younger audiences to theatres. If the film is successful, production house Sony Pictures may make the third part of Ghost Rider franchise.
