Expressing his views at the launch ceremony, the Vice President at Bajaj Probiking, Amit Nandi was quoted as saying, “With its powerful engine, light weight and easy handling the 390 Duke will be equally rewarding both for the professional rider as well as the enthusiast. KTM is a sharply differentiated brand which in a short span of time is the largest selling premium motorcycle brand in India. This position would be further strengthened with the launch of the 390 Duke.”

KTM 390 Duke is equipped with a performance oriented engine, which churns out a maximum power of 43 bhp, along with a highest torque of 35 Nm. With an engine displacement of 373.2 cc, 390 Duke has come up as the first mid size sports bike in India. Other key highlights of the model include agile handling Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), aluminium swing arm, Metzeler (from Pirelli) tyres and aluminium alloy wheels.

Interestingly, the newly launched bike is sold and serviced through the 71 exclusive KTM showrooms and service centres. Similar to other KTMs, the 390 Duke features an impressive power to weight ratio of 300 Ps/tone, which makes it an unmatched motorcycle over other high segment bikes. Industry experts are of a view that this power to weight ratio provides a brilliant pick up, top speed and manoeuvrability to the KTM Duke 390. The launch of a new performance bike in the Indian auto market is sure to stir the competition posed by other big players like Suzuki and Kawasaki, among others.
