      Bond in Motion exhibition displays 50 vehicles since inception of Bond movies

      An English TV channel, Sony Pix recently launched a promotional campaign that promises to engage more and more Bond flick watchers. The channel is gearing up for the premiere of Skyfall with a promotional campaign in which masses can participate to win a lifetime opportunity to visit the ‘Bond in Motion’ exhibition in London. This exhibition has the official collection of James Bond cars from past 50 years. The promotional campaign is being run on social networking website, Facebook under the name of Bond in Motion Contest. The channel is gearing up for the ‘Biggest secret mission ever’ on Facebook, which is designed to give viewers once in a lifetime opportunity to win a trip to the ‘Bond in Motion’ exhibition.

      The contest is aimed at targeting 33,300 followers on Twitter and a little over 1.4 million audiences on Facebook, which are already following the account of Sony Pix on both these websites. Commenting on this Sony Pix, Vice President for Marketing, Neville Bastawalla told “This is something that is really going to get our viewers engaged and get more involved with the channel. The mission will be played over three phases: one to crack a maze of obstacles using clues, second being a first of its kind game where your mobile phone becomes a remote to chase clues, and the third being simply type in the codes that are flashed on the screen during the premiere to win a chance to visit the ‘Bond in Motion’ exhibition in London.”

      During the year 2012, the film series of James Bond completed their 50th anniversary alongside the 40th anniversary of the National Motor Museum. So in order to mark these occasions, the biggest exhibition of James Bond vehicles have been staged at the National Motor Museum, which shall close on 5th of January 2014. The vehicles at the event include Aston Martin DB5, Lotus Esprit S1 and vintage cars like iconic 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III that featured in Goldfinger movie. Also to mention, the autogyro shown in You Only Live Twice and the Acrostar Jet of Octopussy is also on display at the museum alongside the cars, bikes, trikes, sleds and boats. The total number of vehicles that are on display at the Bond in Motion event stand at 50 that include cars of companies like Lotus, Land Rover, Jaguar, Citroen, Renault, Rolls-Royce, Ford, Honda and Mercury.

      The new additions to the exhibition include three new vehicles from the 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall in which the two Honda CRF250R bikes and Land Rover Defender 110 were shown. The cars used in the Bond flicks starring Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig are showcased at the exhibition.
