BMW, the luxury car maker from Germany is gearing up to uncover its eagerly awaited sport crossover-BMW X4 on March 6th. The vehicle is expected to be launched by the end of this year.
Conceived on the X3 platform, BMW X4 will be placed as a stripped down version of the new gen X6. In the front will be a bold grille joining the head light cluster. Rear is expected to take design cues from X6. New BMW X4 is likely to get the same set of engines as seen in X3. A 2.0 litre TwinPower Turbo powertrain with a top power of 240 Bhp and a 3.0 litre TwinPower Turbo motor that engenders a peak power of 200 Bhp are likely to power X4. Speculations suggest that the vehicle could also get a 2.0 litre TwinTurbo diesel engine capable of generating a high power of 181 Bhp and a top torque of 380 Nm.
Luxury car segment witnessed immense growth in the last few years, BMW is one of the popular car makers in India which reigned the segment toppling Mercedes Benz. However, yet another car maker from Germany, Audi, outnumbered BMW acquiring pinnacle in the luxury car segment.
