The German carmaker BMW officially launched its latest model BMW X1 for the UK market. It goes on sale in October in the UK market priced at around £24,500 (Rs. 19.56 lakh). The X1 will come with the choice of five different engines, although not all will be available from the outset.
On the petrol side are a 141bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit and a range-topping 258bhp 3.0-litre straight six. The six-cylinder engine delivers 0-62mph acceleration in 6.2sec and a top speed of 127mph.
BMW has x drive and s Drive models suited for all customer needs. ‘X’ stands for 4WD while ‘s’ variant stands for only RWD.
