      BMW M6 Gran Coupe launch on April 3 in India

      German luxury carmaker BMW will launch the BMW M6 Gran Coupe in the Indian car market onApril 3, 2014. The vehicle was first showcased at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show, while the company unveiled the M6 Gran Coupe in India at the recently held 2014 Delhi Motor Show.

      The BMW M6 Gran Coupe is basically the performance oriented version of the 6 Series Gran Coupe, which was launched in 2012 in India. It will come via CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) route and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 1-1.20 Crore.

      The M6 Gran Coupe is powered by a 4.4-litre V8 engine with BMWs Twin Scroll and Twin-turbocharging which also powers the M5. This engine is capable of developing a top power output of 560bhp and 680Nm of top torque. This engine is mated to a 7-speed M double clutch gearbox which transmits power to the rear wheels. It accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in just 4.2 seconds and attains a top speed of 250kmph (electronically controlled). It will directly compete against the Audi RS7 and Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG.
