There aren’t any visual changes to the BMW X1 sDrive20i. Like the rest of the BMW range, the xLine trim entitles the X1 sDrive20i to LED headlamps, daytime running lamps and tail lamps. The tail pipe gets chrome finish, while the kidney grille, roof rails and the bumper lip get an aluminium finish. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with run flat tyres.

Under the hood of the X1 sDrive20i is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. Until recently, this engine was used in the 320i Luxury Line variant, although this car is no longer sold in India. This turbocharged engine delivers 188bhp and 270Nm of torque, through a ZF eight-speed gearbox with paddle shifters. Inside, the X1 sDrive20i is equipped with an iDrive system with a 6.5-inch screen. Driver aids include ABS with brake assist, cornering brake control, dynamic stability control and traction control. It even gets a launch control.

As far as petrol crossovers go, the BMW X1 sDrive20i competes with the Mercedes-Benz GLA and the Audi Q3. For those willing to go for a diesel engine, there is also the Volvo V40 Cross Country and the Mini Countryman.
