BMW launched the M4 Competition Edition version in Thailand, and has priced it at 10 million baht (Rs 1.91 crore). With a price tag that’s similar to the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe, BMW expects to offer stiff competition to the Merc.

BMW introduces the M4 Competition Edition for the Thai market

BMW’s new M4 Competition Edition will be displayed till September 11, at the ‘Central World’ (shopping destination in Bangkok). The Competition Edition will use the same 3.0-litre twin turbo inline-six engine that comes under the hood of the regular M4 Coupe. However, BMW claims that this version produces 450bhp, and that’s 19bhp more than the regular M4. While the stock M4 Coupe completes the 0-100kmph sprint in 4.1sec, the extra horses will enable the new version to bump up the overall performance slightly.

What makes the new Competition Edition stand out is the boomerang shaped classic graphics on the side panels, and the 20-inch wheels with the familiar track focused M4 GTS design. Unique sporty colours have also made it to the cabin along with some carbon fibre trim.

So far, BMW India has not divulged any information about introducing the M4 Competition Edition in India.
