      BMW India opens the door of its new store cum service outlet in Mangalore

      The Indian arm of BMW, a globally renowned German automotive marque, has opened its brand new retail outlet called 'Navnit Motors' in Mangalore, Karnataka on December 12, 2012. The world class facility is spread over 27,000 square feet of area and has been installed with several top-of-the-line customer oriented services. Further, the new BMW store is also equipped with an after sales unit, complete with an auto components inventory and service bays.

      The German auto maker's Mangalore retail outlet has been designed according to 'Urban Street Display' concept, which is its signature store model. The basic design of BMW Navnit Motors Mangalore is based upon RATC (Reception at the Car) layout and features a service lounge and consultation area on the after sales floor. The new store can display 5 Beamers at a time and the workshop is trimmed with five service bays, which can service up to twenty vehicles in a day.

      The new BMW Navnit Motors store is situated at Survey No. 48, Padil, Kannur Village, Mangalore, Karnataka and is headed by Navnit Kachalia, who also serves as Chairman and Managing Director (MD) of the Navnit Group.

      At present, BMW Navnit Motors Mangalore has a sales and service manpower of some 15 highly skilled and enthusiastic employees. A group of sales and vehicle service engineers have been trained especially at BMW’s training centres in Germany, Singapore and Malaysia.

      Commenting on the group's tie up with the German automobile giant, Navnit Kachalia, said, “Our association with BMW goes as far back as 1995 – first as an importer and then as a BMW Dealer. With the launch of our Mangalore facility, we aim to reach out to more customers in Karnataka and provide them with a premium brand experience.”

      Expressing his views on the growth prospects of the company in Mangalore, Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India was quoted as saying, “Mangalore is one of the fastest growing non-metro cities in South India and will play an important role in BMW’s market offensive in India. By 2014, BMW India will aggressively expand its dealer network by increasing the number of sales outlets to 50 across major metropolitan centres and emerging markets in India.”
