BMW’s i8 has been the winner of the coveted title ‘World Green car of the Year’. On this World Environment Day, the India Eco Drive 2015 would indeed be incomplete without the i8’s presence. The Delhi event witnessed participation of over 45 electric and hybrid variants. The BMW i8 indeed outshone among 14 vehicles that had been put up on display.

The BMW i8 gets a 1.5 Liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that effectively generates about 231 Bhp of power, whereas the electric engine is capable of generating an additional 131 Hp. In total, the vehicle effectively generates about 362 Hp that allows the vehicle to attain o-100kmph in just about 4.4 Seconds. The car retails for a price tag of around Rs. 2.29 Crores.
