BMW 3-Series’ product line-up in India has further expanded with the launch of the 320d Edition Sport. Mechanically, the new variant continues to be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that generates 188bhp of power and 400Nm of peak torque. The eight-speed automatic transmission powers the rear wheels. All changes made have been limited to features and cosmetic detailing in the vehicle.
The new BMW 320d Edition Sport is available in Alpine White (non-metallic) color and black sapphire and mediterranean blue (metallic color). The traditional kidney grille on the exterior is done in high-gloss black and gives it a premium look. The 320d Edition Sport offers a range of fine upholstery combinations like sensatec black/red highlight, Black and Sensatec Veneto Beige, and Veneto Beige. Inside, the vehicle gets sporting chrome scaling at console, red contrast stitching on the sport steering wheel and gear shift paddles.
In terms of features, the BMW 320d gets a 6.5-inch colour display with CD drive, BMW Apps, Bluetooth and USB/AUX IN connectivity and a rear view camera along with Park Distance Control. The vehicle also gets an electric glass sunroof and the 205 Watt and 9 speaker Hi-Fi loudspeaker system. The vehicle key is also offered in red. Moreover, it offers four driving modes - Comfort, ECO PRO, Sport and Sport+.
Safety being a priority, the BMW 320d gets six air bags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Side-impact Protection, ISOFIX child seat mounting, Runflat tyres (RFT) with reinforced sidewalls, emergency spare wheel, electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor. The new BMW 320d Edition Sport is priced at Rs 38.60 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
