The world’s first super luxury SUV Bentley Bentayga has been launched in India at Rs 3.85 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Only 20 cars have been allocated to India which are already sold out.
Under the hood, the Bentley Bentayga gets a 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine which generates 600bhp of power and 900Nm of torque. The SUV is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle-shifters and achieves the 100kmph mark from standstill in just about 4.1 seconds. The Bentayga with the all-wheel drive system has a top speed of 301kmph.
On the design aspect, the Bentayga shares resemblance with its other new siblings, featuring a mesh grille, large intakes and separate LED DRLs. The SUV sits on 22-inch alloy wheels, while the rear section sports roof spoiler, angular LED taillamps, chrome on bumpers and dual exhaust tips that completes its premium appeal.
As for the interiors, the Bentley Bentayga gets an 8-inch touchscreen system with in-built 60 GB hard drive, new steering wheel design, Terrain selector with start-stop button, stubby gear selector, large multi-information colour display and a head-up display.
On the whole Bentley will be producing around 3,000 units of the car in the first year.
