The Britain-based luxury car brand, Bentley Motors announced its plans to offer diesel engine options to its current range of vehicles, and soon commence production of its upcoming new 4X4 SUV.

The premium car company is coming up with a diesel engine option for the first time. Details regarding the diesel engine have been kept under wraps. However, the company is expected to use the powerful and economical V8 TDi and V12 TDi diesel engines that belong to Bentley's parent company, Volkswagen Group. According to sources, the diesel option will not only bring a less noisier and powerful engine, but also a better fuel economy in comparison to its petrol based counterparts.

Another addition to the range of Bentley models will be a new 4X4 sports utility vehicle that is expected to enter the production stage in 2014. The new SUV model from Bentley is likely to share the technology with its parent company, by using the chassis from Audi Q7 SUV.

The new SUV from the British luxury auto brand will be offered in both diesel and petrol engine options. With the help of the new SUV model, Bentley Motors will not only progress in the luxury SUV segment but also fill the gap between the Bentley range of vehicles that are available today.

Bentley has enjoyed a coveted repute of being world class premium car manufacturer, which is evident with a consistent demand for its premium luxury vehicles world over. Originally set up during 1919, Bentley Motors has a rich racing heritage that is based on the successful motorsport history of the company. Today, the company has become one of the pioneer automobile brands offering the best motoring experience.

Thus, Bentley, the luxury car maker which has built its market standing with world-class vehicles, is aiming to widen its avenues by taking up new paths.
