During the initial phase of 2011, Mercedes-Benz introduced a revised model in its iconic C-Class segment. The facelift version of C-Class broke the cover in 2011 and delivered stiff competition to the BMW 3 Series. Since BMW launched its new 2012 3 Series in the Indian market, a brief comparison of both the cars is mentioned below.
In the terms of design, the revamped version of 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class reflects moderate changes in its exteriors against the current model. The changes are restricted to re-worked headlights, new aluminium hood and an appealing set of LED running lights, which are mounted on lower portion of front bumper. The remarkable vigour of lights is observed with LED indicators that are positioned in centre and emerges as if floating up and down between the red LED lights. The rear bumper of C-Class has an unbroken line on its upper rim, which sprints in the fenders of the C-Class. This continuous line connects bumper to the side portion of the car, which highlights its sporty character at the rear end.
As far as interiors of Mercedes-Benz C-class are concerned, the car is incorporated with re-worked cabin that reflects a feel of E-class. The interiors of this car are designed with quality materials and angular instruments. Mercedes has offered new telematics system within its new C-Class, which has made its debut in the model line-up of company and will be later installed in other models. This system has big LCD screen, option of playing music via wireless bluetooth and the display of SMS on LCD display.
On the other hand, the designing of new 2012 BMW 3 Series is considered as a development over current model. The designing language employed within the car is partially seen in new BMW 5 Series. Revamped version of this car is provided with convex and concave outlines, enabling the car to reflect a sporty feel. The side lines of new 3 Series are designed with fascinating double image lines that runs parallel to each other.
Considering its front fascia, the headlamps are provided with a refreshed look, which flows into the horizontal grille. This re-designed special look of new 2012 3 series reflects a 3D look, which enables it to pull the masses. Identical to new 6 series, the kidney grille of 3 series also holds 3D features that have lured the attention of many auto aficionados. The rear end holds L-shaped design of BMW, which is positioned at its outer ends. This special design emphasize over the wide space of wheels and a broad trail in the new offering of BMW.

The upcoming model incorporates sporty and luxury features with varied blends of interior trim, which can be easily observed in company’s three line-ups, namely Sport, Luxury and Modern. The driver’s cabin is mainly focused over, which is clearly signified by the shift of angle proportion in new 3 Series to seven degrees towards the posture of driver. Other USP of this car includes precisely designed black panel display, which shows information for fuel gauge, speedometer, tachometer and oil temperature gauge.
Joining the bandwagon, Audi introduced a revamped version of its A4 in the Indian market on 3rd May 2012. The car holds a sporty design with much elegance, which has provided the company with a new centre of attraction. New language of designing highlights continues horizontal lines at the front fascia of revamped A4. The hood of engine is more arched; whereas its edgy corners over single framed grille are pointed that provides the car with a decent aerodynamic structure.
