Bajaj has showcased its all new concept vehicle called the U-car concept. The car is modelled along the lines of RE60 that was unveiled some years ago. Unlike the previous version, the new U-car concept is aimed at luring the younger crowd.
The car is stated to be powered by a liquid cooled 4 valve petrol engine. The triple spark fuel injected engine delivers a higher fuel efficiency. Moreover, the car weighs merely 300 Kgs, making it peppy at traffic signals. The efficient engine has been mated to an automatic transmission which powers the front wheels. Air conditioning comes as standard in this small car.
The exterior of the U-car concept from Bajaj is definitely something to look out for. The car features the new scissor styled doors that open in an upward direction. The tall bodied structure also provides with ample cabin space and good amount of ground clearance. The car has been specifically designed for the urban market. Compact structure, zippy engine, low emission level, attractive and hip design makes it worth an investment.
Official sources have not confirmed as to when the car may hit the roads. The pricing for the Bajaj U-car has also not been revealed. It is anticipated that the car may compete against the current lot of Nano from Tata.
