In order to further improve ITS market share, Bajaj Auto is planning to launch a series of new bikes in the Indian market. The homegrown automaker will launch the new Platina and updated Discover next year. Adding to it, the company is also expanding its popular Pulsar bike range in the country. With Pulsar 160 NS, the homegrown auto major is aiming to mark strong presence in the highly competitive 150cc segment. It will compete against the likes of Suzuki Gixxer 155, Yamaha FZ-S Version 2.0, Honda CB Trigger, etc. The Pulsar 160NS is expected to replace the current 150cc model, and will come as an affordable bike. Sharing design cues with the 200 NS, the Pulsar 160 NS gets some subtle changes to body graphics, side panels and others. It will be powered by a 160cc, single cylinder engine which will be paired to a five-speed transmission. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 70,000 to 75,000.

Talking about Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS, the bike is undoubtedly one of the most awaited motorcycles of the year. Set to go on sale in coming weeks, the production of the Pulsar 200 SS has already started at the company’s production facility in Pimpri, Pune. Like the 160 NS, the Pulsar 200 SS is also based on the NS200. However it shares its design with the Pulsar SS 400 concept shown at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show. It will be propelled by a 199.5cc engine that churns out a maximum power output of 23bhp and 18Nm of peak torque. Expect a price range of Rs. 1 lakh to 1.30 lakh.

The fully-faired motorcycle was first unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show, but as a pre-production concept. Based on an all-new chassis, the fully faired sports bike will be powered by a 375cc liquid cooled fuel-injected engine that develops 41bhp.
