Bajaj has put to test the fuel-injected variant of the Pulsar 200 NS since a long time in India now. Such has been the intensity of the tests that it is suspected that the 200NS FI might just be launch-ready. Resources have hinted upon the fact that Bajaj is planning to launch the model somewhere during the next month. However, there has not been any official statement regarding the same.

There might be a series of speculations regarding the features and specifications of this model However, it can be safely said that most of the features will be the same as the previous version. The only notable change will be the installation of the fuel-injected system in the machine. The model, which is currently in use, uses the carburettor system. Whether or not the new FI system will bring any change in the performance of the Pulsar 200 NS is something that will be observed once it is launched.

The mill that will run the Pulsar NS is the same 199 cc single-cylinder that is capable of churning out 23 bhp power. It is capable of generating a twisting force of 18 Nm at a lower rpm. The technologies put in use by the bike have a strong resemblance with the ones in Duke 200. As a result, the brand has been able to keep the price tag a tad lower than it was expected.

Bajaj had previously entered into an understanding with Kawasaki that enables it to sell its products in India. The Kawasaki dealers in Indonesia are entitled to sell Bajaj’s products directly in Indonesia. As a result, it is expected that Bajaj might launch the new version of the Pulsar 200 NS initially in Indonesia under the branding of Kawasaki.

It is unclear whether the model will be launched for the Indian market. Even if it is launched, Pulsar NS will be the only fuel-injected model in the entire line up of Bajaj models in India. Previously, the Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi had the same technology but was later replaced by the carburetted version. It might be said that if the Pulsar NS FI gets an opening in the Indian market, it might surely become the flagship model of Bajaj.
