Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the much-awaited Pulsar 200 SS in the country. The vehicle has been spotted several times during its test rounds; however, the production-spec model has been snapped by a Facebook user Mr. Rakes Gowda at one of the private showcases of the motorcycle. This bike shares its design cues with the Bajaj SS 400 which made its debut at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show.
The Pulsar 200 SS gets subtle changes in the form of livery and 200 SS badge on the tail-piece. The smaller sportsbike largely resembles the flagship SS 400, which is quite evident. It features twin projector headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, two-piece rear combination lights (L-shaped) and a sharp full fairing. The short silencer endcan avoids the naked sibling’s base unit.
Powering the Pulsar 200 SS is the same 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that also powers the Pulsar 200NS. This engine is capable of producing 23.18bhp of power at 9,5000rpm and peak torque of 18.3Nm at 8,000rpm. The Pulsar 200 SS is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.20-1.25 lakh. It is likely to get ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as an optional feature.
