One of India's leading player in two-wheeler segment, Bajaj Auto, was seen with the new Pulsar 200 AS in the Indonesian market. The abbreviation AS reportedly stands for Adventure Sports. The bike is stated to be an budget friendly offering from the Indian bikemaker that offers touring capability along with off-roading capabilities. As part of the 'Adventure' package offering from Bajaj the bike sports a larger front suspension and split seat configuration.
The Pulsar 200 AS spotted in Indonesia is likely to be powered by 199cc engine that may feature carburettor-fed or fuel injected technology. Since it would most likely be sourced from the 200 NS trim it could be mated to a six-speed transmission and generate somewhere about 23.5 PS of power. As for safety it may get a ABS system.
As for the front fairing seen on the Pulsar 200 AS, it instantly seemed to share some striking resemblance with the recently launched Discover 150F in India. The pricing aspect has not been revealed by the company for now, but based on anticipation it could likely be offered at an upward cost of about INR 1 lakhs.
